Sharper Image created a product line to sell specifically on QVC networks. My team was tasked with creating several different product animations with a unified aesthetic. We created storyboards, previsuals, rendered, sound design, and final comps. We also had to format these spots to play across multiple formats, including vertical and horizontal aspect ratios.
These models were created with very high fidelity as the camera zoom levels were very close. Production value was set with a high bar. These commercials were produced in a short timeline on a modest budget.

Each season for several years, I created product campaigns for Sharper Image. My team was tasked with the note to ensure a consistent aesthetic across all products. Each season had to have a unique identity.
We delivered high production value for modest budgets across multiple media formats.
High quality storyboards are a great tool to help the approval process. I like to front load the boards with high res shaded renders whenever possible
Storyboards should be fun, and flowing. Cam angles, animation and blocking should be clear and intuitive for the client.

I made a documentary in 2012 with some very talented people in front of, and behind the camera. I was fortunate enough to have the support of the AMA and factory race teams to document some of the fastest moto riders in America. My goal was to show the human side, under the helmet of these amazing athletes.
This project was a true labor of love.

Matt studied art at college, attending Art Center, Pasadena for a short time. His life changed during class in the emerging field of 3D animation. His career path veered from traditional art into digital art & animation when non-linear production was in its infancy.
In 2002 Matt took a gamble and built a post production, VFX and animation studio that has been serving some of the best and brightest productions for decades. Angel City Studios is an ever evolving boutique graphics and animation studio that strives to stay at the bleeding edge of tech and culture.

In 2003, OP hired Matt and Angel City Studios to provide graphic services for many of the shows OP produced, such as Ax Men and Ice Road Truckers, and many other spin off series including the long running series Deadliest Catch, which Matt managed the graphics for 20 Seasons.
While working for OP Matt worked directly with Thom Beers, myself and other Executives at OP, to develop the visual identity and on-screen graphics for those shows. His ability to stay on budget while consistently delivering high-quality work was crucial in helping OP maintain its standard of excellence.

Matt Greenstone's presence at the NFL Network on Super Bowl 56 was a godsend. Matt provided multi-dimensional support in the face of a gargantuan task.
